IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
The candidates fulfilling the requirements as per the essential qualifications may attend the Walk-In Interviews as per the date mentioned below. All should report at 09.30 am sharp at the address given below and those candidates appearing for the interview should register their names in the register, kept at the Security Gate.

Name of the Project:
Identifying the neuro-immune pathways that modulate feeding behavior and metabolism in Drosophila.
Name of the PI: Dr. Gaurav Das
Essential Qualification & Experience:
Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Desirable Experience:
Candidate should have some experience with the following techniques:
a) At least 1 year of lab experience in a neurobiology lab or a drosophila lab.
b) Proficiency in handling flies as a genetic model organism.
c) Experience in performing behavioral experiments and analyzing data.
Project Tenure: Up to 26/09/2027
Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 25000/- + HRA
Age limit: Not more than 35 years as on date of Interview.

Understanding the molecular mechanism of biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles using the Tetrahymena thermophila model system.

Essential Qualification & Experience:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:
A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
B. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
Desirable Experience:
Candidate should have some experience with the following techniques:
• Cell culture handling and subcellular fractionation of organelles.
• HPLC, protein purification using Affinity & gel-exclusion chromatography.
• In-vivo and In-vitro protein-protein interaction and western blotting.
• Confocal microscopy, Gene cloning and RT-PCR.
Project Tenure: Up to 31/08/2028
Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 31000/- + HRA (Enhancement of fellowship subjected to DBT approval)

Understanding the virus-nuclear pore complex crosstalk using computational and structural biological approaches.
Name of the PI: Dr. Krishnakant Gupta
Essential Qualification & Experience:
Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following and Two years of Research Experience.
A. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and/or GATE.
B. The selection process through National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
Desirable Experience:
Experience in molecular cloning and protein purification. Candidate should be knowing basics of R and Python.
Project Tenure: Up to 02/04/2026
Total Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 35,000/- + HRA (Enhancement of fellowship subjected to DBT approval)
Age limit: Not more than 32 years as on date of Interview
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

- Essential qualifying Final / Provisional Degree certificate as per the advertisement.
- Copies of NET/GATE/National Level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER, etc and other relevant documents, if applicable.
- Caste Certificate, Latest/valid non-creamy layer certificate, if applicable.
- Work experience certificates, if applicable.
The duration of offer will be determined based on fund availability.
Other important Points:
- The Director (Additional Charge), NCCS reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process, if required.
- The prescribed educational qualifications and experience are the bare minimum and mere possession of same does not entitle candidates to be called for Walk in Interviews. The Centre reserves the right to call for Walk in Interviews only those candidates who in its opinion are likely to be suitable.
- Candidates not having Final / Provisional Degree certificate as per the Essential qualification signed by the Institutional/ University Competent authority are not eligible to apply.
- The above advertised positions are filled up purely on temporary basis for the limited time on the extramural projects funded by various funding agencies. The position will automatically coterminus on the completion of the candidate’s tenure. The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in funding agency or in NCCS, Pune.
- 5. Fellowship/Emoluments: Emoluments to the research personnel engaged under project will be made in accordance with the sanction order or latest DST and ICMR OM whichever the case may be.
- Age relaxation will be considered as on the date of walk-in Interview. Age relaxation will be 5 years in case of Women/SC/ST/PH candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates will be given as per Government of India rules. OBC candidates must produce latest/valid non-creamy layer certificate. Reservation as per Govt. of India norms will be followed.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
- Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence will be treated as disqualification for the post.
- The posts advertised shall be need based without any commitment for its filling.
- Selected candidates will have to join duty within one month of the receipt of offer of appointment.
