Position Objective for Senior Research Associate II:

To plan and execute assigned projects within targeted timelines and budget.

Coordinate with internal and external customers for smooth execution of projects.

Design safe, scalable routes for formulation development, particularly in antioxidants, lipids, and coating technology.

Help achieve Kemin’s vision of improving quality of life by developing products and processes for the Animal Nutrition and Health Industry, following the Product Innovation Process (PIP).

Perform scientific database searches to identify cost-effective routes for product development.

Publish scientific and technical articles in the Kemin database and scientific journals.

Submit new, innovative ideas for product or process development and collaborate with channel partners as Senior Research Associate.

Strictly follow and maintain good laboratory and safety protocols in the lab.
Responsibilities
Specific Responsibilities

Design experiments and protocols based on given experimental patterns or DOE. Complete experiments independently or under supervision.

Execute projects by following the Product Innovation Process (PIP) of Kemin.

Understand current products and formulations to improve them, along with developing new products as Senior Research Associate.

Write technical articles based on research findings for internal and external publications – minimum 2 per year.

File patent disclosures based on research findings from the group – one every two years.

Actively participate in team meetings and activities and deliver presentations when required.
General Responsibilities for Senior Research Associate:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all research activities in laboratory notebooks.

Protect all confidential information such as formulations, trade secrets, and other commercially sensitive data.

Conduct research activities with high scientific and personal integrity, following good scientific and laboratory practices.

Adhere strictly to the health and safety policies of the company during all research activities.
Qualifications for Senior Research Associate:
Msc/M.Tech in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Food Technology or related discipline from central or National Universities with at least 3-4 years’ experience. Fresh PhDs from Reputed Universities or with few years of experience are encouraged to apply.
