BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) is a premier plant genomics research institute located in New Delhi, dedicated to exploring and understanding plant genetics to enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability.

  • Position: Project Associate-II
  • Location: New Delhi
  • Emoluments: Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA
  • Qualification: M.Sc in Biotechnology/Bioinformatics/Botany/Life Sciences/Plant Molecular Biology or related disciplines with at least 60% marks and two years of post-master’s research experience
  • Experience Required: Proficiency in basic molecular biology techniques like PCR, cloning, and hairy root transformation; Knowledge of bioinformatics and transcriptome analysis preferred; Prior experience in root nodule symbiosis is desirable
  • Age Limit: Up to 35 years

Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will work on chickpea root nodule symbiosis, transcriptomics, and studying the molecular mechanisms underlying plant immunity during root nodule symbiosis.

Duration:

This position is temporary and co-terminus with

the project, with an appointment until April 02, 2026 (A/N), subject to performance evaluation.
