About Dr. Hiyaa Ghosh’s Lab:
At Dr. Hiyaa Ghosh’s Lab, researchers focus on uncovering the mechanisms of adaptability and resilience in the adult brain. The lab investigates how neurons and glial cells undergo compensatory structural and functional changes to maintain brain homeostasis following physiological disturbances. The team explores the genetic and cellular basis of brain plasticity and
its role in neuroprotection through mouse models of cognitive dysfunction and recovery. The lab employs state-of-the-art techniques, including mouse genetics, chemogenetics, electrophysiology, microscopy, flow cytometry, and high-throughput single-cell transcriptomics, to decode the biological complexity of the adult brain. Aspiring Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers, and Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) with a passion for neuroscience and problem-solving are encouraged to apply and contribute to this exciting field of research.About Ghosh Lab:
