Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Microbiologist

CTC- 3 TO 4LPA (Fresher)
Note- For Exp, a standard 20-30% hike will be given based on experience and last drawn CTC.
Key Responsibilities:
● Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications.
● Conduct environmental monitoring of clean rooms, production areas, and water systems to assess contamination risks.
● Execute microbial identification and antimicrobial effectiveness tests.
● Prepare, maintain, and analyze microbial cultures and media.
● Ensure adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory guidelines such as FDA, EU, and ISO standards.
● Maintain and calibrate microbiological laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
● Document test results, maintain lab records, and generate reports in compliance with company policies.
● Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) and non-conformance events, assisting in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
● Support validation studies, sterility assurance programs, and cleaning validations.
● Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to implement contamination control strategies.
● Train new laboratory personnel on microbiological testing procedures and quality control standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
● years of experience in microbiology quality control or related role in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or food industry.
● Strong understanding of microbiological testing methods such as sterility testing, endotoxin testing, and bioburden analysis.
● Experience with environmental monitoring techniques and contamination control in a GMP environment.
● Familiarity with regulatory guidelines such as FDA, USP, EP, and ISO standards.
● Proficiency in using microbiological laboratory instruments and software.
● Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
● Excellent documentation and communication skills.
