Job Overview
Provide a wide range of medical surveillance support, including monitoring clinical laboratory data for subjects in clinical studies and composing medical narratives, as well as interfacing with investigator sites.
Essential Functions
As a Medical Surveillance Specialist 1 at IQVIA, your essential functions will include:
- Monitoring and evaluating laboratory results daily from sponsor-designated central laboratories.
- Evaluating and analyzing laboratory data from sponsor-designated data management systems/eDC platforms.
- Conducting preliminary reviews of laboratory results relative to established protocol-specific guidelines.
- Serving as a liaison between the Medical Services Department, sponsor-designated laboratories, and the IQVIA team.
- Maintaining up-to-date laboratory knowledge via continuing education activities.
- Identifying significant trends in laboratory results and alerting Medical Advisors.
- Interacting with project teams to convey critical information.
- Facilitating appropriate monitoring and reporting of subject laboratory results.
- Assisting with project set-up activities.
- Attending project team meetings as needed.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or allied health sciences.
- 2-6 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 2.5 years in medical surveillance.
- Strong technical ability and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
