Roles and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage day-to-day lab activities, ensuring efficient workflow and resource utilization.
- Collaborate with medical and technical staff for smooth sample processing, accurate testing, and timely result reporting.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and reagents for uninterrupted lab operations.
- Support quality control and quality assurance processes to maintain accurate test results.
- Adhere to regulatory guidelines, accreditation requirements, and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to laboratory staff, promoting a positive work environment.
- Identify areas for process optimization and propose solutions for operational efficiency.
- Contribute to emergency response protocols to handle unexpected situations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, or related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in a clinical diagnostic lab setting.
- Strong understanding of laboratory operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in laboratory settings.
