Junior Research Fellow (One Post)

Fellowship per Month

Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA@24% for 1st and 2nd year, Rs. 35,000/- per month + HRA@24% for 3rd year (as per ICAR norms)

Qualifications for Junior Research Fellow:

Essential qualifications: Post Graduate Degree (M. Sc.) in Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Molecular Biology/ Biotechnology/ Plant

Physiology/ from a recognized institution with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification**.

Desirable: Experience in gene cloning and characterization, Heterologous expression of gene, basic biochemical techniques/ handling of instruments used in metabolomics, etc

Terms and Conditions for Junior Research Fellow:

• Purely contractual and co-terminus with the project (likely to extend beyond 31 March 2026)

• Age limit: 35 years (Relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST/women)

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview

• Candidates must bring:

  • Two copies of the Annexure I application form

  • Updated biodata

  • Attested copies of 10th, 12th, UG, PG, Ph.D., NET/GATE certificates

  • Recent passport photo preferred for Junior Research Fellow.

  • Original documents and medical certificate at joining

  • NOC if employed elsewhere
