Welcome to Northern Hill University. We are currently seeking applications for the positions of Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistant for our project titled “Monitoring and Source Tracking of Microplastics by Lichens in Khasi Hills of Meghalaya” under the medium grant of NMSH-NIHE, MoEF&CC.

Applications are invited for the position of Junior research Fellow (JRF) (01 no) and Project Assistant (PA) (01 no) in the project entitled “Monitoring and Source Tracking of Microplastics by Lichens in Khasi Hills of Meghalaya” under the medium grant (MG) of NMSH-NIHE, MoEF&CC.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 01 no
Project Assistant (PA): 01 no

Essential Qualification :

For JRF: Master’s in Environmental Science/Botany + NET qualified.
For PA: Master’s in Environmental Science/Botany.

Desirable qualification: Work experience about knowledge of lichens, microplastics, including sample collection from field and laboratory work.

Fellowship per month :

JRF: @ Rs. 37000/- + 18% HRA per month for 2 Year and SRF @ 42000/- + 18% HRA for the third year.
PA: @ Rs. 15000/- per month fixed, for 3 years

Tenure of appointment : One year from the date of appointment, extendable subject to performance review.
