Applications are invited from eligible candidates to work as Project Technical Support -II on a contract basis for a research project funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) at JIPMER, Puducherry. The details of the position are as follows:
- Name of the Post: Project technical support – II (on a contract basis)
- Duration: 6 months
- Remuneration: Rs. 24,000/- consolidated pay
- Project Title: “Antinuclear Antibody Immunofluorescence patterns in Systemic Lupus
- Erythematosus: Diagnostic and Prognostic Evaluation using Artificial Intelligence”
- Funding Agency: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)
- Project Investigator: Dr. Molly Mary Thabah
- Nature of Work: Blood sample collection, sample processing, molecular tests, data entry, data analysis, and presentation
Eligibility Criteria:
- Essential:
- B.Sc in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/MLT with 55% aggregate marks from a recognized government university/college.
- Hands-on experience in Immunological and Molecular techniques.
- Desirable: Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a government research laboratory.
- Age Limit: Maximum 30 years (as on last date of receipt of applications)

EVALUATION CRITERIA:
- After the evaluation of the application form, the recruitment process will be as follows:
- Written test (syllabus covering basic lab techniques, molecular biology, basic
biomedical statistics) will be conducted only if the number of applicants exceed 25 in
number. - Interview (computer skills, knowledge of autoimmune diseases, lab techniques, data
collection, analysis and presentation)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- This position is purely on contract basis for an externally sponsored project, and the person engaged will have no claim to any regular post in JIPMER at any time. Further, the position is only for the duration of the project and based purely on external funding support for the project.
- The engagement may be extended or curtailed at discretion of the Project Investigator.
- Qualification and experience should be in a relevant discipline/field and in a reputed institution/organization. The experience should have been gained after acquiring the essential qualification.
- Qualification, experience, other terms, and conditions may be relaxed/ altered at
the discretion of the Principal Investigator. - Valid email ID and mobile number are compulsory.
- Consolidated salary of the post may vary from time to time. No other allowance/facilities other than consolidated salary shall be extended.
- Submission of wrong or false information at any stage during the process of selection or canvassing of any kind will lead to disqualification or even termination if detected after the person has been engaged.
