Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Ph.D. Student in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (Genomics) available at Subhash Lab (https://www.subhashlab.in) from the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering at Indian Institute of Technology Jammu. The role involves conducting research in cancer genomics, analyzing next-generation sequencing data, developing computational models, and collaborating with a diverse team of researchers and scientists.

Qualifications

• Experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, biotechnology, and cancer genomics
• Solid understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS) techniques
• Strong programming skills in languages such as R and/or Python
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques
• Ability to work in a collaborative research environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous publications in peer-reviewed journals is plus
• Master’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, Biotechnology, Computational Sciences or Engineering (with a demonstrated interest in Biology), or Mathematical Computing (with a demonstrated interest in Biology) or related field
