The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune is a premier institute dedicated to research and teaching in the basic sciences. It was established in 2006 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (renamed Ministry of Education in August 2020). In 2012, IISER Pune was declared as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament.
Indian Nationals fulfilling following advertised criteria may attend Walk-in Interviews for the following position which is under the funded project:
Name of the Post: Project Associate-I

Title of the Project: “Synaptic and molecular mechanisms of ‘multimodal’ olfactory perception”
Project Code: 30723654
Funding Agency: Department of Biotechnology / Wellcome Trust India Alliance
Minimum educational Qualification: M.Sc. / MS / M. Tech in Biology or related discipline.
Experience: The candidate should have experience with rodent behavioural experiments, stereotaxic surgery, rodent brain dissection, immunohistochemistry, western blot and other molecular biological techniques.
Preference: Candidates having experience in handling the following techniques will be preferred:
- Behavioural experiments
- Stereotaxic surgery
- Cell culture techniques
- Molecular biology techniques
Tenure of the appointment: For a period of 6 months extendable for further period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments per month:
- Rs. 25,000/- + 24 % House Rent Allowance.
- Rs. 31,000/- + 24 % House Rent Allowance with valid CSIR-NET / GATE / DBT – JRF / any other National Level Test conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and Institutions OR equivalent scorecard.
Age of applicant as on date of walk-in interview: Not more than 35 years
Age relaxation commensurate with educational qualification/s and / or experience/s of the applicant may be considered for candidates having qualification and experience higher than the advertised with the prior approval of the competent authority.

ii. Mark sheets and certificates (starting from 10th onward) regarding educational qualification
