Applications are invited to attend Interview (walk-in & online) for the post of one Junior Research Fellow in NECTAR funded project at ICAR-NBPGR, New Delhi.

Project Title: DST funded NECTAR project “Strengthening Community-Based Seed Systems and Building Value Chain for Traditional Crops to Enhance Farmers Livelihoods of Northeast India”

Emoluments

i) Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for scholars who are selected through
a. Qualified National Eligibility Test CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
b. The Selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
ii) Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for scholars who do not fall under (i) above
iii) From 3rd year onwards: Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for scholars as mentioned in (ii) above

Essential Qualifications

Post Graduate Degree in Botany/ Plant Genetics Resources/ Life Sciences/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/ Seed Science and Technology/ Horticulture

Desirable Qualification:

Experience of working on community seed system, exploration and collection of plant germplasm, farmers centric research and extension especially in the North-east India.

Upper age limit: 35 years on the date of advertisement. Age limits are relaxable for 5 years for SC/ ST/ female candidates, upto 10 years for Differently Abled candidates and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy layer) candidates as per Govt. of India norms.

General Terms and Conditions for the Advertisement

  • Candidates are requested to ensure their eligibility like age, qualification etc. before appearing for the interview.
  • Candidates having essential qualification will only be considered for interview.
  • No TA/DA and official accommodation will be provided for appearing in the interview.
  • The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate has no right to claim for regularization or absorption whatsoever in ICAR/NBPGR.
  • The decision of Director of the institute will be final and binding in all aspects.
  • The Director reserves the right to terminate the contract of job as mentioned above, even before the completion of the project for which no appeal thereof shall be entertained.
  • Candidates are required to send scanned pdf copy of all the relevant certificates/ mark sheets etc., with an application with full bio-data affixing a passport size photograph on the top. The originals will be verified at the time of joining.
  • If any information of the candidate is found to be incorrect or concealing any facts, his/her candidature to the interview/ selection to the post is liable to be cancelled at any stage.
  • Emoluments may be paid as per satisfaction of the work by the PI and fund availability by the funding agency.
  • In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of New Delhi only.
