Job Purpose (1-2 Lines):
The candidate will be expected to lead and execute in vitro screening strategies for drug discovery programs in different therapeutic areas, including oncology, immunology, cardiovascular, and neuroscience.
Key Responsibilities:

Champion drug discovery program biology, establish in vitro assays (design, develop, troubleshoot) to drive compound structure-activity relationships, including screening assays (in 384- and 1536-well formats) and mechanism of action studies.

Independent analysis and interpretation of experimental data.

Presentation and communication of data
to stakeholders, working in collaboration with teams within and across the department. -
Following Syngene’s data quality, integrity, and EHSS guidelines.
Educational Qualification:
PhD in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, or Biological Engineering.
Technical/Functional Skills:
-
Hands-on experience in design and development of in vitro assays (biochemical, cell-based, signaling assays, primary cell-based assays, radioligand binding assays, etc.).

Expertise in enzyme and GPCR pharmacology and assays.

Hands-on experience in complex cellular models/ex-vivo systems, including designing and executing mechanistic/pharmacological characterization of lead candidates.

Hands-on experience in multicolor flow cytometry, high-content imaging, and automation is desired.

Must be independent and able to follow pre-established experimental designs, as well as develop new methods, protocols, and technologies based on existing literature.
Experience: 0-6 years of relevant work experience.
