Job Description
We are looking for a Field Applications Scientist to provide in-person and remote scientific application support to customers using a variety of laboratory equipment. This role involves delivering training, troubleshooting product performance issues, presenting technical materials, and building strong customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
As a Field Applications Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering on-site and remote scientific application support & training to customers.
- Performing product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities of our instruments and solutions.
- Diagnosing and resolving product performance problems, providing effective solutions to customer challenges.
- Assisting the sales team with technical support during customer interactions to facilitate successful sales and customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining up-to-date technical expertise in the Thermo Fisher Scientific product portfolio to provide accurate and informed support.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- Education: PhD or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Experience: More than 5 years of wet lab experience in requested technologies.
- Skills: Strong knowledge in Immunology, Cell Analysis, Protein Analysis, and antibodies usage.
- Additional:
- Experience with Thermo Fisher Scientific instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
