Advertisement for the Position of Project associate-1 or 2

Applications are invited for the position of Project associate-1or 2 on contract basis to work in a time bound DBT sponsored research project ((BT/PR41974/MED/97/549/2021)) sanctioned to the undersigned at the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, Central University of Tamil Nadu

Details of the position:

Project Title: Development of an aptamer nanozyme based colorimetric assay for paediatric Scrub typhus

Position: Project associate–I or 2 – 1 post

PA-1: Monthly Fellowship: R

s. 31,000/- (for NET/GATE/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/CUCET qualified)/ + 8% HRA
For Non NET or non qualifying National level examination Rs. 25,000+8% HRA

PA-2: Monthly Fellowship:

Rs. 35,000/- (for NET/GATE/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/CUCET qualified)/ + 8% HRA
For Non NET or non qualifying National level examination Rs. 28,000+8% HRA

Tenure of Position: 1 year, extendable upon funds availability

Essential Qualification: MSc in Life Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular biology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics/Biomedical Science/ and other relevant disciplines with minimum 55% with CSIR NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/ ASRB NET/UGC NET/TIFR-JGEEBILS and other national level exams

PA-2: In addition to the above qualifications two years experience is also needed.

Desirable:

Experience in, construction of plasmids, protein expression, aptamer synthesis, Lateral flow, Point of care assay development and any other relevant molecular biology work experience

Age limit: As specified by the DST and DBT and as per rules of Govt. of India)

1. Filled in application in the format attached, covering letter, detailed curriculum vitae
2. Original and attested photocopies of all documents, certificates, degree and mark sheets
3. Original and attested copy of CSIR NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/ ASRB NET/UGC NET/TIFR-JGEEBILS and other national level exams
4. Copies of certificates/ testimonials/ documents which the candidate may wish to bring to the knowledge of the selection committee.
