Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following position sanctioned under ICMR-funded project.
Project Title: Identification of the kinase and its inhibitor(s) that potentiates irinotecan-induced phosphorylation of the proto-oncogene EVI1 in colon cancer cells

Name of position: Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical)
Number of vacancies: Two
Fellowship: Rs.56,000/- + @18% HRA per month
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION
Master’s degree or integrated master’s degree with first-class in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Zoology/Chemistry from a recognized University.
OR
First-class engineering graduate degree of four years in Biotechnology from a recognized University or NIT/IIT.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION
Ph.D. awarded or Ph.D. thesis submitted (documents to be provided). Ph.D. research should focus on solid tumor biology, leukemia biology, cell biology, or medicinal chemistry. At least one first or second author paper published in a reputed journal in the specified subject area.
Age Limit: 35 years as of 09.05.2025. Age relaxation will be provided per the rules of the GOI.
