Dr. Priyadarshan stressed the                                                 importance of combining technical proficiency with                                                           communication and problem-solving skills. He also                                                           emphasized the need for education systems to evolve,                                                     recommending that curricula be tailored to reflect real-                                                     world industry requirements and to enhance graduate                                                       employability in a competitive job market.

Prof. H.S. Subramanya

Dean, School of Biosciences – Chanakya University, Former Director, IBAB, Bengaluru

Prof. H.S. Subramanya, Dean of the School of Biosciences at Chanakya University, is a renowned scientist with over 30 years of experience in structural biology and drug discovery. He earned his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, focusing on the structure of Sesbania Mosaic Virus, and completed his post-doctoral research at Oxford University, UK, where he studied DNA replication enzymes. His career spans academia and industry, including leadership roles at the Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, and over two decades at Aurigene Discovery Technologies, Bengaluru. He also served as Director of the Institute of Bioinformatics and Applied Biotechnology (IBAB). He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and holds 19 patents, significantly contributing to bioscience research and innovation.

Dr. Priyadarshan Kinatukara

Academic Consultant & Biotechnology Curriculum Expert, Former Faculty, CSIR-Institute for Microbial Technology

Dr. Priyadarshan Kinatukara is an Assistant Professor at the School of Biosciences, Chanakya University. With a Ph.D. in structural biology from CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, he focuses on lipid diversity and its impact on cellular physiology. A recipient of the Ben Barres Spotlight Award (2021), his research explores how lipid variation influences gut microbiota and lifestyle-related disorders using structural, biochemical, and bioinformatic approaches.
