What you will do
In this vital role, you will design, build, and maintain data lake solutions for scientific data to drive business decisions for Research at Amgen. You will create scalable and high-performance data engineering solutions for large scientific datasets and collaborate with Research customers.
Key Responsibilities of Biological Studies Data Engineer Amgen
- Design, develop, and implement data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration solutions
- Optimize large datasets for query performance
- Collaborate with global multi-functional teams to understand data requirements and design solutions that meet business needs

What we expect of you
The ideal candidate for Biological Studies Data Engineer at Amgen should have a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with experience in Computer Science, IT, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology/Bioinformatics, or related fields. Proficiency in SQL, Python, big data technologies, and data architecture is required.
Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience designing and supporting biopharma scientific research data pipelines
