IIT Mandi invites applications for a summer internship for the duration of one-two month(s) (May-July 2025).
About Internship:
IIT Mandi has a summer internship program that aims at introducing undergraduate and postgraduate students to research to enthuse them and to get them interested in a career in teaching and research. This is a one-two month(s) long residential program, and it combines hands-on research training with a variety of hardware and software analysis tools.
Eligibility:
The program is open only for MoU(s) signed with IIT Mandi Institute(s)/College(s)/Universities candidates:
- For Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology: Only Pre-final year students (3rd year)
- For Postgraduate students: Only Pre-final year students (1st year)

Important Instructions(s):
- Pre-final year of B.Tech./B.E. students and PG students can apply.
- Interns are expected to work under the mentorship of IIT Mandi faculty members in different areas.
- Applicants need to visit the IIT Mandi website for research areas of faculty.
- Applicants must specify the proposed area of work of a potential supervisor.
- Duration for the summer internship is one-two month(s).
- Selected interns will be supported financially @ Rs. 10,000/- per month.
- Travel and living expenses will be borne by the intern.
- Screening of interns will be done by the respective schools/centres based on the credentials of applicants.
- Shortlisting and selection criteria may vary for different schools and centres.
- Selected candidates must arrange a Letter of Recommendation/NOC from their institute.
- Minimum duration of the internship is one month, and the maximum is two months.
- Selected students will be informed via email.
