About the Research Jobs Project at MAHE:
MAHE, Manipal, is seeking candidates for an ICMR-funded project titled:
“A Study to Assess the Disease Severity Among Scrub Typhus and Leptospirosis Patients Using Clinical, Immunological, and Molecular Tools.”
- Location: Department of Infectious Diseases, Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal
- Project Duration: 3 years (initial engagement of 6 months, with extensions based on performance)
- Application Deadline: April 3, 2025. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Project Research Scientist – II (Post-01)
Qualification & Eligibility: M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology / Virology with three years post-qualification experience or Ph.D. in Health Sciences, preferably Microbiology / Virology / Infectious Diseases (thesis submitted/completed).
Responsibilities of Research Jobs at MAHE: Data analysis and validation, reporting the data to the PI, project management, communication with other collaborating institutes, supervision of lab works and other staff of this project, etc.
Remuneration: INR 67,000/- + 10% HRA (Rs. 73,700 p.m.)

Project Technical Support – III (Post-02)
Qualification & Eligibility: M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Life Sciences with adequate knowledge.
Desirable: Candidates with hands-on experience in molecular and flow cytometry techniques with good academic records and research experience in the related area or any other infectious diseases will be given preference.
Job Description for Research Jobs at MAHE: Handling lab work, processing clinical samples, conducting experiments as per the protocol, data collection, patient follow-up, statistical analysis, and performing any other duties that the PI assigns and the project demands.
Remuneration: INR 28,000/- + 10% HRA (Rs. 30,800 p.m.)
