- Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency): MSc (or equivalent) in Biological Sciences/ Life Sciences or related field
- Desirable Qualifications
- Candidate should be highly motivated to do research in biological sciences.
- Prior research lab experience is desirable but not mandatory.

- Fellowship amount: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for selected scholars, Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for others
- Tenure of the post: One year (extendable for one year based on performance)
- Age: The upper age limit is 35 years with age relaxation as per Government rules
