Applications are invited from suitable candidates (citizens of India) for one (1) position of Senior Project Assistant in an ICMR-funded research project entitled “Elucidating the therapeutic efficacy of Chrysin nanoparticles in Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) rat model” for three years in the Reproductive Physiology Laboratory of Dr. Indu Sharma at the Department of Zoology, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Age Limit: Below 28 years as on March 14, 2025. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.
Duration: Initially for a period of one year and extendable up to three years or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier, based on performance evaluation.
Emoluments: ₹ 30,600/- consolidated per month.
Qualification
Essential:
- Graduation with 60% or more marks in Science discipline along with 2-3 years of experience in a relevant subject/field
OR - PG in Zoology/Life Sciences/Medical Laboratory Technician with 60% or more marks and hands-on experience in basic laboratory techniques.
- Experience with operating scientific instruments used in molecular biology/immunology experiments and aptitude for laboratory management.
- Organized and meticulous in record keeping with excellent interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
- Experience in animal handling, molecular biology, HPLC, and other biomedical instrumentation.
- A commitment to complete the project.
