Job Opportunity: Postdoctoral Fellow
The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) is inviting applications for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow in the Cell and Tissue Engineering Lab, which operates under the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering (BSBE). This is an exciting opportunity for researchers passionate about regenerative medicine, biomaterials, and cellular engineering.
Positions Available:
Positions are available in the Cell and Tissue Engineering Lab for motivated researchers interested in areas such as biomaterial-based immunotherapy and tissue engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Postdoctoral Fellow, the selected candidate will:
- Lead independent research projects in cell and tissue engineering, biomaterials, or regenerative medicine.
- Design and conduct cell culture, molecular biology, and biomaterial characterization experiments.
- Develop and optimize scaffolds, hydrogels, or bio-inks for tissue engineering applications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including biologists, engineers, and clinicians.
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
- Supervise graduate and undergraduate students working on related projects.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biomaterials or Tissue engineering or Nanotechnology
- Ph.D. in Immunology or Molecular/Cellular Biology
Skills Required:
- Experience working with animal models and know-how of experimental methodologies relating to cell culture, immunology, and/or molecular biology.
- Ability to drive projects independently and work as part of a team in the research group.
- Good verbal and communication skills.
