The Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following positions sanctioned under an ICMR-funded project.
Project Details:
- Project Title: Interplay of Malarial PAMPs and DAMPs – Regulatory Mechanisms and their Physiological Relevance, Association with Disease Severity and Translational Potential
- Duration: Three years

Position Available:
- Name: Project Research Scientist-II (Non-medical) (02 Positions)
- Fellowship: Rs. 67,000/- + @20% HRA = Rs. 80,400/- per month
- Eligibility: Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences or allied subjects
- Age Limit: 35 years as on 27.03.2025
Educational and Experience Requirements for PhD Biotechnology Project Scientist:
Eligibility: Ph. D. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences or any of the allied subjects.
- For the first position, research experience in cell culture techniques, transfections, and biochemistry and molecular biology is required. Prospective candidates with experience in malaria parasite biology, chimeric mouse studies and other infectious diseases shall also apply.
- For the second position, candidates with research experience in NGS techniques (whole genome/RNASeq/Single-cell RNASeq and highthroughput sequencing data analysis) and/or mass spectrometry techniques (proteomics/metabolomics) will be considered.
- For both the positions, candidates with at least one first author research paper in peer-reviewed journal will be preferred.
- Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis and are waiting for defense/viva voce may also apply. For such candidates, the fellowship amount will be equivalent to that of SRF until the successful completion of the defense/viva
voce.
