Position: Junior Medical Coder
Primary Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient medical records for accurate code assignment.
- Ensure adherence to coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Learn and effectively utilize medical coding software.
- Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to interpret clinical documentation and identify applicable medical codes.
- Stay updated on industry changes and attend relevant training sessions.
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of all patient information.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in medical science, life science, bioscience, pharmacy, nursing, or allied health field.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy-physiology basics.
- Proficiency in ICD-10 guidelines and their implementation.
- Skilled in reviewing medical records for accuracy and completeness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AAPC/AHIMA Certification.
- Risk Adjustment coding experience.
