A Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position is available in the lab of Dr. Dipjyoti Das at the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata. The project involves:

Experimental Work: Handling bacterial cultures, quantitative molecular biology techniques, and microscopic imaging.
Bioinformatics and Modeling: Data analysis and computational modeling of population dynamics.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • M.Sc./MS/ME/M.Tech or equivalent in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, or Biophysics with a minimum of 65% marks

Desirable Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in:

    • Bacterial culture handling

    • qPCR, cloning, and microscopic imaging techniques for JRF Position IISER Kolkata.

  • Candidate must have Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.

Age Limit:

  • Maximum 28 years at the time of joining.

  • Relaxation in age and academic qualification will be considered for reserved categories as per Government of India rules.
