Job Title: Scientist – Protein Science
Desired Profile:
Ph. D in Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/Biotechnology with 0-2 years of experience in Protein expression and purification from multiple expression systems. Protein structure determination using protein crystallography, Cryo-EM etc. Protein characterization using mass spectrometry. Handling of insect and mammalian cell culture is desirable.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design constructs for recombinant protein expression in bacterial, baculoviral, and mammalian expression systems.
- Design constructs for protein crystallization/ cryo-EM studies.
- Express and purify recombinant proteins using various chromatography techniques.
- Screen conditions for crystallization, optimize crystal growth, and obtain diffractable crystals.
- Generate experimental data, demonstrate experiment reproducibility, and maintain accurate records.
- Take general lab responsibilities and equipment maintenance.
- Maintain confidentiality of experimental data.
