Minimum Qualification and Experience: M.Sc. in Life Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry or related fields with two years of industrial or research experience in the field of genomics/molecular biology selected through a process described through any one of the following: –
1. Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
2. The selection process through National level examinations conducted by the Central Government, Departments, and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICMR, and IIT. llSC, RISER, etc.
Job Description for Junior Research Fellow:
The selected candidate will be responsible for the isolation of DNA from blood samples, sequencing, and studying phenotype traits in connection with Ayurveda Prakriti.
Desirable Qualification:
Experience with basic molecular techniques like DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, and NGS library preparation, preferably Illumina and Oxford nanopore. Basic understanding of Ayurvedic principles.
Brief Description of Project:
The project will involve work in the area of isolation of Ayurvedic drugs in search of potential targets for diseases, as well as their effect, with the help of genomic studies.
