Core Purpose of the Role
- Microbial Method Validation, Method Verifications
- Microbiology Analysis (Bioburden, MLT, Test for Specified Organisms, BET Analysis)
- Sterility Testing and Validation
- Environmental Monitoring
- Utility Monitoring
- Water Sampling
- Microbiology Lab Maintenance
- Calibrations, Qualifications
- Review of Microbiology Data
- Media and Culture Qualifications
Role Accountabilities
- Responsible for sample receipt of raw materials, in-process, finished products, and stability samples
- Responsible for microbiological analysis, sterility testing, bacterial endotoxin tests, and analysis of different grades of water (PW/WFI/POW) as per the respective specification
- Responsible for risk assessment document preparations, protocol and report preparation
- Responsible for QMS related to microbiology – change controls, CAPA, deviations, incidents, OOS/OOT investigations
- Responsible for area qualification, calibrations, equipment qualifications, and requalification
- Responsible for sample management and coordination with the team for the smooth operation of sample release activity
- Responsible for performing the Bioburden and Microbial Limit Test
- Responsible for performing method verification activities for Sterility, BET, MLT, and Bioburden tests
- Responsible for environmental monitoring of clean rooms in the Microbiology laboratory
- Responsible for all microbiological-related activities like media receipt, media stock maintenance, preparation of media, sterilization, growth promotion for media, culture maintenance, and media disposal
- Responsible for the review of microbiology documents
- Follow the required EHSS policies and good hygiene practices
- Undertake other responsibilities related to Microbiology as per requirement

Demonstrated Capability:
Education: M.Sc. Microbiology

- Microbial analysis of water, OSD products, injectable products, environmental monitoring
