Position Purpose
The position is to support research scientists in conducting biology experiments/trials by preparing the planting material in the greenhouse and pre-trial preparations in the laboratory & greenhouse. Technicians may also assist research scientists in making the applications and other lab activities.
Strategic Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities
- Keeping attendance records of lab/greenhouse workers, assigning work, and providing updates regularly.
- Planning day-to-day work as per requirements.
- Regular management of laboratory culture/nursery with critical observations, findings, and updates to the supervisor.
- Keeping all nursery areas disease & insect-free and ensuring all seedlings are delivered for compound testing free from insect infestation & disease infection.
- Keeping all laboratory areas contamination-free.
- Supporting in keeping records of stores; all seed material with delivery date/sowing date, transplanting date & delivery for compound testing.
- Providing an advance plan for purchasing materials required in stores.
- Following best practices for maintaining the best conditions in the greenhouse/laboratory.
- Timely collection of hazardous waste, packing inside the chamber & autoclaving.
- Maintaining all records for hazardous waste management.
- Ensuring quality standards and health safety of all greenhouse nurseries.
- Delivering media, reagents, etc., on time to research scientists.
- Supporting research scientists in the application of compounds and conducting experiments.
- Acting as a committed ambassador of the PI Brand.
- Remaining at the cutting edge of knowledge required for the new a.i. discovery activity in crop protection through constant updating of personal knowledge and skill sets.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, preferably in Zoology, Microbiology, Agriculture, or Botany.
Work Experience: 0-2 years of experience in greenhouse nurseries/handling lab equipment.
Industry to be Hired from: University/Agriculture/Crop Protection.
Functional Competencies
- Knowledge of Microbiology, Agriculture & Horticulture.
- Knowledge of Biology and Greenhouse.
- MS Office Skills.
