About Job Profile:
Clarivate is looking for an Associate Content Editor to join GENESEQ process in Chennai. This is an amazing opportunity to work on GENESEQ process in IPG. We would love to speak with you if you have skills in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry.
- Must be a master’s degree graduate in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry
- Can be a fresher or candidate with around 1 year experience in working on patents, patent indexing with basic patent knowledge
- If experienced, must have at least a year’s experience in patent indexing, disease indexing, abstract writing
Requirements:
It would be great if you also had:
- 1 to 2 years of experience in patent indexing, gene sequencing, genetics, and disease indexing
- Good knowledge of computer applications including MS Office, PDF or TIFF images, and publicly available databases like NCBI taxonomy database, PubMed, etc.
- Strong secondary research skills
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Apply biotechnology, genetics, and molecular biology concepts to curate biological sequence related information from patent documents
- Manually curate biological sequences from patent specifications, including those found within PDF or TIFF images
- Create individual records for mutated sequences and claimed SEQ ID fragments
- Achieve weekly production volume and quality targets
- Promote personal safety and safe working practices
About the Team:
The GENESEQ Team is a key knowledge-driven team in the Intellectual Property Group in Clarivate. The team comprises experts in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry, reporting to a Team Manager. The GENESEQ product includes Nucleic Acid sequences and Amino Acid sequences.
Hours of Work: 8.30 AM to 5.30 PM IST (includes 1-hour break), subject to slight changes based on business needs.
