- Toxin Evolution & Function: Understanding how toxins evolve and their roles in different ontogenetic stages of venomous animals.
- Analytical Techniques:
- Mass spectrometry imaging.
- Spatial transcriptomics.
- In situ hybridization techniques.
- Modern computer tomography for spatial toxin distribution analysis.
- Venom System Insights: Exploring the spatial distribution of toxins and the function of the venom apparatus.
- Venom Compound Identification: Studying evolutionary and biological aspects to identify venom compounds for synthesis and bioactivity testing.

Requisite for the role

Educational Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Zoology or Biotechnology with a strong academic foundation in relevant disciplines.
- Expertise in venomics, particularly focusing on snakes, snakebites, and emerging technologies in venom research.

Industry Experience:
- A minimum of two years of post-Ph.D. experience in an R&D (Research & Development) setting within the industry.
- Practical exposure to advanced venom research methodologies, including toxin identification, bioassays, and therapeutic development.
- Hands-on experience with genomic, proteomic, and analytical techniques for venom study.
- Familiarity with drug discovery processes related to venom-derived compounds.
- Collaboration experience with multidisciplinary teams in biotechnology, pharmacology, and toxicology.
