Description
Brief Job Overview:
This is a hands-on, non-supervisory position in USP-India’s Microbiology Lab, responsible for conducting lab test procedures as per USP’s Microbiology General chapters & Monographs. The scientist will engage in Verification Programs, Method Verifications, Method Developments, Method Validations, Reference Standard Collaborative testing, Rapid Microbiology Methods, and Training programs.
Responsibilities
- Hands-on Bench work: Conducting experimentation in the Microbiology area of the Biologics lab.
- Independently planning and executing experiments for project tasks assigned.
- Monitoring Microbiology/Biologics labs to ensure quality and compliance.
- Planning daily work, record review, and documentation to meet targets.
- Assisting in implementing laboratory procedures and systems.
- Preparing protocols, reports, and presentations related to projects.
- Following QMS practices and participating in audits.
- Ensuring safety, ethics, and legal compliance.
Requirements of Scientist II Microbiology Job
- Master’s degree in Microbiology/life sciences with 3–6 years of relevant experience.
- Practical experience in the execution of Compendial Microbiological test procedures.
- Experience in QMS, handling Audits, and understanding Rapid Microbiology methods.
- Computer proficiency is a must.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Results-driven with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
