Microbiologist – GMP-QC
Position Purpose:
To ensure environmental monitoring, water testing, trends, and documentation as per regulatory guidelines.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities as Microbiologist – GMP-QC
- Maintain Good Laboratory Practice and Good Documentation Practice in the microbiology lab.
- Perform daily calibration & verification activities in the microbiology lab & maintain related documents.
- Prepare media for routine activities & maintain its reconciliation.
- Conduct water sampling & testing as per procedures & maintain related documentation.
- Environment monitoring of the microbiology lab and reporting.
- Involve & co-ordinate with the validation party for all qualification and validation activities in the microbiology lab.
- Perform all Growth Promotion Tests of newly received media & prepared media lots.
- Procure, store & handle all standard cultures & verify their purity along with related documentation.
Work Relations:
Internal: QA, Quality Control, Engineering Department (Utility), HR, IT, Production, OHC, Safety.
External: External Testing Lab Service providers and Validation Service providers.
Qualification required for Microbiologist – GMP-QC Job
- M.Sc. in Microbiology
- Minimum 1-2 years in a microbiology lab within the pharma industry.
