About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Biocurator to join our dynamic team. This role requires expertise in biological data curation, a strong understanding of transcriptomics, proteomics, and varied types of single-cell omics technologies. Acquaintance with programming languages like Python would be an added advantage. If you are eager to grow in omics data, this role is an excellent opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Curation
- Curate and annotate biological datasets from various omics technologies, including transcriptomics, proteomics, and single-cell data.
- Standardize biological data using established ontologies and guidelines.
- Ensure high-quality curation and consistency across multiple sources to deliver reliable results.
Inter and Intra-team communication
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment on biological data curation standards.
- Provide clear and timely updates to stakeholders on the progress of data curation tasks, ensuring transparency and alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, or a related field (Master’s preferred), with familiarity in bioinformatics tools and databases for data curation. Freshers with a strong academic background and keen interest in omics data curation are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A highly motivated, dynamic, and detail-oriented individual with good data management skills.
Good To Have:
- 1 year of curation experience, preferably in the life sciences industry.
- Experience with programming languages like Python is an added advantage.
