Biocon Biologics at Chennai is looking for a Scientist for the Mammalian Cell Culture Laboratory. You are expected to have about 1 – 3 years of industrial experience in upstream cell culture in different roles such as process development, scale-up, scale-down or process characterization. In this role, you will be reporting to the Team Lead. This role will be at the Chennai R&D facility with deep collaboration with the Bengaluru R&D facility
. All processes developed at the Chennai facility will be scaled-up at the Biocon Bengaluru manufacturing facilities.Key responsibilities expected from the candidate at this level are:
- Execution of upstream experiments to support process development, scale-up, process characterization, etc.
- Execution of experiments in shake flasks/Ambr15/Ambr 250/5L bioreactors.
- Partner with Team Lead for effective experimental planning, execution, and data analysis. Be available to execute batches end-to-end with minimal failures.
- Contemporaneous recording of data in compliance with ALCOA principles and Good Documentation Practices.
- Support lab operational activities: Equipment installation, inventory management, instrument maintenance, 5S lab maintenance, SOP updation, liquid nitrogen maintenance, etc.
- Author and support authoring of SOP/IOP/EOPs, process protocols, technical reports, presentations, revisions, amendments, etc.
- Participate in periodic technical and non-technical meetings.
