Job Description: Application Scientist – BIOVIA Discovery Studio and Solvation Chemistry (Presales and Post-Sales Support)

Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Ph.D. or Master’s in Biotechnology, Pharma, Bioinformatics, Computational Chemistry, or a related field.
Experience: 1 to 4 years
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Application Scientist to support BIOVIA Discovery Studio and solvation chemistry solutions. The role involves providing presales and post-sales technical expertise, delivering training, and enabling customer success. It also includes significant travel to client sites and events to support business development and scientific collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept studies on BIOVIA Discovery Studio and solvation chemistry.
- Provide scientific consultation on molecular modeling, solvation analysis, and computational chemistry to highlight BIOVIA’s value.
- Design customized solutions and workflows tailored to client research goals in drug discovery, molecular dynamics, and computational studies.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions, workshops, and webinars for customers on BIOVIA Discovery Studio, focusing on solvation chemistry and related tools.
- Assist clients in troubleshooting, implementing solutions, and achieving project milestones using BIOVIA software.
- Provide ongoing support for software updates, licensing, and customer queries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and drive long-term engagement.
- Travel extensively (domestic and international) to engage with clients, deliver onsite support, and represent the company at conferences, seminars, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and marketing, to align client needs with company offerings.
- Gather client feedback and communicate insights to improve software features and functionalities.
- Experience with BIOVIA Discovery Studio or similar molecular modelling platforms. (Additional)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
