Drug Safety Analyst – Literature Specialist

About the Job:

Wipro is hiring for Drug Safety Analyst – Literature Specialist (Pune Location)!!!

Experience:

• 4+ years of experience in Pharmacovigilance.
• Required understanding of bibliographic databases & search libraries (at least 1 year of hands-on experience in crafting & executing search strategies).
• Must know how to construct strings on the database.

Educational Qualification:

• PhD / Pharm D / M.Pharm / B.Pharm / BDS / B.Tech / M.Tech (Life Sciences)
• M.Sc. / B.Sc. (Life Sciences)

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the execution and implementation of data acquisition and data management processes that support Pharmacovigilance activities.
2. Construct and execute optimal search strategies on biomedical databases and content aggregator platforms.
3. Possess in-depth knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry, product terminology, drug nomenclature, and drug class hierarchies.
4. Understand medical terminologies and search syntax for leading search databases/platforms like OVID, Embase, Medline, and PubMed.
5. Perform comprehensive reviews of literature and analyze scientific published literature to support health agency requests and product submissions.
6. Maintain awareness and understanding of relevant technologies that could support improvements in content acquisition.
7. Oversee and interact with external vendors (e.g., content partners).
8. Liaise with inter- and intra-team members to meet end-to-end process needs and business objectives.
9. Demonstrate an innovative mindset to drive efficiencies and develop solutions that meet process and customer needs.
10. Exhibit high learning agility to learn and implement the latest tools/technologies.

Salient Required/Essential Skills:

• Knowledge of bibliographic datasets and content libraries.
• Hands-on experience in setting up searches on OVID/EMBASE/MEDLINE.
• Proven scientific literature searching skills with experience applying pharmaceutical databases and resources.
