Profile Summary:

• Responsible for receipt of bovine samples (blood/semen/any tissue), data entry, isolation of DNA, microarray genotyping, downstream processing, and quality assurance.
• Preparation and maintenance of working and master banks.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Extraction and Quality Control check of genomic DNA from animal specimens.
• Cataloguing and maintenance of a repository of the banked DNA, tissue samples, biologicals, and their suitable maintenance.
• Microarray genotyping.
• Maintaining a database of DNA and genotypes.

Qualification & Experience:

Qualification:

• M.Sc. (any branch of life sciences), OR
• Minimum 4-year degree in Biological Sciences/Biotechnology.

Experience:

• Experience/awareness of working in a laboratory.
• Basic molecular biology techniques (especially nucleic acid isolation).
• Documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and general computer usage.

Other Essential Attributes and Skills:

• Fluency in English with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an attitude for teamwork.

Location: Anand, Gujarat (candidate should be willing to work anywhere in India).

Remarks:

• This position is for a period of one year.
• Candidate shall be paid a monthly contractual consideration of Rs. 33,600/- (including PF).
• Number of Positions: 01.
