Research Associate (RA) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Positions

Research Associate (RA-1) and Senior Research Fellow (SRF) positions are available in the Vector Borne Diseases Group, ICGEB, New Delhi component for multiple extramural funded projects.

Fellowship and Duration: Fellowship as per DBT norms. The projects are funded for 3 years. Initially, the positions are available for six months and can be further extended based on the performance of the RA/SRF.

Educational Qualifications:

For RA:

• PhD in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life sciences/bioinformatics/computational biology.
• 0-1 year post-doctoral experience.

For SRFs:

• MSc/MTech degree in Physical/Chemical/Life sciences, Computational Biology/ Bioinformatics with two years’ experience.
• NET/GATE/UGC cleared candidates only to apply.

Preferred Experience:

For wet lab work (both RA and SRF): Candidates with experience in virology, cell culture, and molecular biology techniques will be preferred.

For bioinformatics (both RA and SRF): Candidates with a computational biology background with theoretical and practical knowledge in NGS analysis/mathematical modeling and having basic programming skills will be preferred.

• Place of work will be at ICGEB.
• Work-from-home option not available.
