The BRIC-National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (BRIC-NIBMG) is an Autonomous Institute of the Government of India, under the aegis of the Department of Biotechnology. This is the first Institution in India explicitly devoted to research, training, translation, service, and capacity building in Biomedical Genomics. Applications are invited for self-motivated individuals with excellent academic standing in the position mentioned as below:

A) Name of the position – Research Officer

1. No. of Position: 01
2. Remuneration [INR] per month: Rs. 85000/- pm
3. Essential Qualifications: PhD in any branch of Life Science or allied discipline
4. Desirable Qualifications: 03 years of relevant experience in a reputed Institute/University/Industry/Research Organization
5. Nature of Duty:
   a) Identify funding opportunities for research activities from external sources.
   b) Provide administrative support to researchers for grant submission, activation, and execution.
   c) Assistance with ensuring statutory compliances for research activities.
   d) Develop and implement communication strategies to increase awareness of the institute’s research activities.
   e) Promote the institute’s research activities to internal and external stakeholders through various channels such as social media, newsletters, brochures, and promo videos.
   f) Organize outreach activities at the Institute.
   g) Prepare and review institutional reports, agreements, and other materials for various stakeholders.
   h) Maintain records and analyze institutional research output.
   i) Set up policies and processes for the management of research output.

B) Name of the position – Senior Scientific Officer

1. No. of Position: 01
2. Remuneration [INR] per month: Rs. 88000/- pm
3. Essential Qualifications: PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or allied disciplines
4. Desirable Qualifications: Three years’ experience in conducting genotyping and DNA sequencing of human samples in a molecular genetics laboratory
5. Nature of Duty:
   a) Standardizing genetic diagnostic tests.
   b) Carrying out genetic diagnostic tests to identify genetic diseases.
   c) Supervising and training junior laboratory staff.
   d) Maintaining laboratory records, inventory, etc.

1. These positions are contractual, and appointments will be initially for 11 months, which is extendable depending upon performance and requirements of the Institute.
