Project Associate position under DBT funded project
Applications are invited from highly motivated students for the position of Junior Research Fellow / Project Associate I in the Departments of Biological Sciences and Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa for a DBT-sponsored research project titled “Developing Predictive Models for ‘druglikeness’ of small molecules” (BT/PR40236/BTIS/137/51/2022).

Co-Principal Investigators: Sukanta Mondal and Ashwin Srinivasan
Broad Area of Research: Application of AI in drug design
Duration of the Project: Five years
Fellowship Amount (Rs.): ₹31,000 + 8% HRA (for candidates with GATE/NET qualification)
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation will be provided subject to availability and will be governed by the rules and regulations of the Institute prevailing at the time of joining of the candidate.
Qualification:
- Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science/Bioinformatics/Computational Biology/allied subjects with a very good academic record throughout.
- Preference will be given to candidates with GATE/NET qualification and a proven track record of application of AI tools in biological/chemical systems.
- Relaxation norms of the Government of India will be duly followed in the shortlisting of candidates.

Additional Note: Selected candidates will get a chance to apply for a Ph.D. degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus (rules of the Ph.D. program for BITS Pilani are applicable).
