Team Lead- Bioinformatics

About the Job
About the Role:
The person in this role will be responsible for delivering AI solutions to customers on top of Elucidata’s technology. This role involves a unique blend of applying AI, a deep understanding of biology, and complex data to generate actionable insights. In this customer-facing role, you will work with commercial teams to grow accounts and develop new opportunities. The role requires strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee customer projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality of deliverables.
- Innovate on tools and pipelines to analyze multi-modal biological data.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the domain to architect innovative solutions addressing client pain points.
- Lead and manage customer-facing projects and multidisciplinary teams of biological scientists, ML-engineers, and data scientists.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering within timelines and within budget.
- Work with internal R&D teams to align goals with customer expectations.
- Identify opportunities to expand our business with existing customers and generate new commercial opportunities.
- Support the sales team in pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proposal development.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. with 2-3 years of industrial/academic experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in processing and analyzing multi-omics NGS biomedical data, coupled with a proven ability to generate actionable insights.
- Experience leading customer-facing projects with successful delivery records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
Good-to-Have:
- Experience working with cloud technologies and scalable computing platforms.
- Familiarity with AI/ML applications in biomedical data analysis.
- Strong publishing record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Ability to think strategically and translate customer needs into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
