Interview for DST-SERB-Funded Project-JRF Position
Title of Project: Characterization of a novel post-transcriptional/translational mode of plant immune surveillance and evasive strategies deployed by a class of rapidly evolving and economically threatening pathogen effector.
Duration of the Project:
- Initially for 1 year (extended annually based on performance evaluation) up to a total of 2 years or until project completion, whichever is earlier.
- The Principal Investigator (PI) reserves the right to terminate the candidate’s recruitment if satisfactory progress is not demonstrated.
Essential Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in life sciences with NET/DBT-JRF/INSPIRE/GATE or equivalent exam cleared.
- Minimum of 60% marks in Master’s or equivalent degree.
- Hands-on experience in basic molecular biology techniques, including DNA & RNA isolation, protein purification, routine PCRs, and cloning.
Desirable Qualifications: Prior hands-on experience with cloning, protein expression, and purification, especially applicable to plant systems.

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- + 24% HRA per month
