Job Purpose

  • Support the ADME team by planning and conducting metabolic stability, single-point inhibition, reversible CYPIC50 inhibition, and TDI-IC50 shift assays using human liver microsomes with high quality.
  • Support Caco-2, LLC-PK1-MDR1, MDCK-II-MDR1, and MDCK-II BCRP transporter assays in 24 well/96 well plate trans-well assays using different matrices with high quality.
  • Design and execute physio-chemical and protein binding assays, generate high-quality data, review, and upload data into databases with additional QC checks.
  • Manage time and multitasking to meet the demand of high-volume wave 1 ADME assays to complete multiple projects within timelines.
  • Record lab activities and experiments contemporaneously, maintain high housekeeping standards.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and maintain a safe workplace.
  • This role is predominantly laboratory-based.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extensive experience in planning metabolic stability, CYP inhibition assays, cell culture activities, and metabolism studies.
  • Design and execute in-vitro single-point inhibition, reversible CYPIC50 inhibition, and TDI-IC50 shift assay with human liver microsomes.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with the BA-DMPK group to design in-vitro CYP inhibition studies.
  • Prepare SOPs and EOPs.
  • Report executed studies without noncompliance.
  • Present study results clearly in cross-functional scientific meetings.
  • Follow EHS requirements at all times, ensuring individual and lab/plant safety.
  • Ensure EHS measures are imparted via training and adhered to within the team.

Educational Qualification:

  • M. Pharm. in pharmaceutical sciences or M.Sc. in biological science.

Technical/Functional Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of in vitro ADME assays with technical expertise in troubleshooting assays.
  • In-depth understanding of biochemical aspects of enzyme kinetics related to metabolism.
  • Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Excel and GraphPad Prism.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with automation is desirable.

Experience:

  • M. Pharm. in pharmaceutical sciences or M.Sc. in biological science with nine or more years of industrial experience in DMPK/ADME research.

Behavioral Skills:

  • Demonstrate the ability to be a team player.
  • Commitment to deliver study reports within the agreed timelines.
  • Adaptability to changes in a dynamic lab environment.
  • Confident communication with colleagues and collaborators in meetings and presentation of study reports.
  • Evidence of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
