Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals for the appointment of the following position:

Name of position: Junior Research Fellow (01 position)

Project: “Understanding the genetic basis of hearing loss using zebrafish model” (Funded by SERB)

PI: Dr. P V Ramchander

Fellowship: Rs. 31,000/- + HRA

Eligibility & Selection:

• Candidates must have M.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or related subjects (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent grade point (relaxation as per Govt. guidelines).
• Candidates should have qualified national-level exams such as NET/LS-NET/GATE/GPAT/BET.
• Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience in:
  • Genetics
  • Bioinformatics
  • Cell culture
  • Molecular biology techniques

Age Limit:

• The candidate should be below 28 years of age as on 28.11.2024.
• Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India rules.
