Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates under the research project at the Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, Visakhapatnam. The details of the position are as follows:

Job Description

The candidate is expected to perform:

• Molecular simulations/structural bioinformatics experiments.
• Drug design and discovery experiments.

Essential Qualification(s)

• First-class postgraduate degree in any stream of Life Sciences, including the integrated PG degree;
  or
• Second-class postgraduate degree, including the integrated PG degree, with a Ph.D.;
  or
• B.Tech. Biotechnology/Bioinformatics – First-class graduate degree of four years.

Desirable Qualification(s): Relevant experience as per the job description.

Age Limit and Relaxation (if any): 35 years (relaxable as per the GOI norms).

Fellowship and Term of Appointment

• Rs. 56,000/- + HRA as per ICMR norms.
• Co-terminus with the project.

1. Scrutiny/Selection Committee of IIPE Visakhapatnam reserves the right to fix suitable criteria for short-listing eligible candidates.
2. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on merit and experience. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for the interview, and the decision of the Selection Committee will be final.
3. The date and time of the interview will be informed via email to the candidates. Hence, a valid email ID should be provided in the application.
4. Qualifications should be from a recognized University. Mere fulfillment of essential qualifications does not guarantee an interview call or selection.
5. Eligibility and age will be considered as on the last date of application.
6. Candidates should furnish original certificates at the time of the interview and joining.
7. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
8. The appointment can be terminated with one month’s notice or one month’s salary from either side without assigning any reason.
9. The appointment is temporary, and the selected candidate shall have no claim for terminal benefits/regular appointment under the institute or in any other project.
10. Benefits such as provident fund, CCA, TA/DA, and medical benefits are not applicable.
11. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining. Candidates should make their own arrangements for stay during the interview/joining.
