Job Description: Sales and Application Specialist
Location: Chandigarh
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Sales and Application Specialist to join our team in Chandigarh. The ideal candidate will focus on delivering excellent client service, ensuring the smooth operation, installation, and maintenance of iGene Labserve equipment, and supporting the sales team in achieving customer satisfaction and business goals.
Experience: 3 to 5 years
CTC: 420,000 to 600,000
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Service:
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair, qualification, and validation of iGene Labserve equipment.
- Inspect malfunctioning products, review customer reports, and determine the nature and scope of issues.
- Analyze findings and recommend appropriate repairs, replacements, or corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, customer service, and other teams to expedite problem resolution.
Customer Engagement and Sales Initiation:
- Identify and approach key prospective customers such as clinical laboratories, university teaching hospital laboratories, research laboratories, COVID-19 testing laboratories, diagnostics laboratories, government institutions, NGOs, and more.
- Initiate meaningful discussions with prospects and deliver impactful demonstrations of equipment.
- Drive the sales process from initial contact to closure, ensuring all customer requirements are fully addressed.
- Act as a communication link between customers and the company to ensure effective service delivery.
- Maintain a client-focused approach and work in coordination with other iGene Labserve teams, including sales and support staff.
Negotiation and Order Management:
- Interact with doctors, scientists, lab staff, and purchase departments to negotiate favorable terms and secure orders.
- Foster transparent communication to ensure mutual understanding and alignment between the company and customers.
Sales Activity Records and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions.
- Analyze sales data to develop strategies and prepare detailed performance reports.
- Regularly update the directors on sales progress, trends, and key activities.
Customer Support and After-Sales Service:
- Collaborate with service teams to ensure smooth installation, after-sales service, and customer training.
- Maintain consistent contact with end-users to guarantee high levels of customer satisfaction and address any concerns.
Target Achievement:
- Set, pursue, and achieve ambitious weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
- Continuously strive to improve performance and exceed sales objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology.
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in laboratory equipment or a similar industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and generating sales performance reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Target-driven mindset with a passion for achieving and exceeding goals.
