Project Name: Understanding the Molecular Mechanism in Ceramide Induced Pathological Activation of Nek7/Nlrp3-Inflammasome
Project Description:
NLRP3 inflammasome has been implicated in a wide range of diseases. Few studies have reported on the NLRP3-NEK7-complex axis role in disease pathogenesis. The functional role of NLRP3 needs to shed light on gaining deeper insights into NEK7’s role in human immune or inflammatory-mediated functions. Overall, this study will be critical in identifying and facilitating the development of therapeutic regimes for better treatments of NLRP3 inflammasome-related inflammatory diseases.
We are looking for motivated individuals with good academic standing who are interested in exploring career opportunities in this innovative multi-organization initiative undertaken by NIBMG in the positions mentioned below:

i) Graduate Degree in Biotechnology or any Life Sciences subject from a recognized University or equivalent.
ii) Age limit of 50 years as on the last date of application. |
– Postgraduate degree will be preferred. – Prior experience in in-vitro cultures work along with cell biology assays. – At least 1 year of experience in an R&D laboratory is desirable. |
– Execution of the project work. – Organize the workflow and prioritize work to meet deadlines. – Organize research documents and other related matters as per PI instructions. |
| Project Associate-I
1 31,000/- + 9% HRA * |
i) MSc in Biotechnology/Zoology/ Molecular Biology/ Microbiology or related field in Life Sciences from a recognized University.ii) Must be selected through: (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or (b) A selection process through National-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.iii) Age limit of 35 years as on the last date of application. |
– Prior experience in animal cell culture/flow cytometry/molecular biology techniques/Bioinformatics analysis is desirable. | – Execution of the project work. – Organize the workflow and prioritize work to meet deadlines. – Organize research documents and other related matters as per PI instructions. |
If no suitable candidate is found, the candidate may be given 25,000/- + 9% HRA for others who do not fall under (a or b) above.

- This position is contractual, and appointments will be initially for one year, which is extendable depending upon performance and project requirements.
